Adriana Fernandez with Autumn 2021 Collection “Origin”
Medellín, Colombia / It’s Finally here! The most recent collection of Adriana Fernández, arrives within the framework of Colombiamoda. It is inspired by the “Origin” of the garment, which begins with the fabric. Perfect for use during the day and versatile at night. The dyes come from natural extracted species and plants that give her dresses that unique stamp with which the female silhouette stands out and cares for.
“The most important thing in design is the selection of materials, the fabric, its composition, natural, organic and sustainable textures, with very soft and comfortable finishes for the skin.”
The photos were created in an emblematic manufacturing plant in Medellín, Colombia. In homage to the fabric, the raw material, this being the main value for Adriana in the garment. No synthetic fiber is used in this new collection. Before sitting down to design Adriana herself, she has focused on selecting the materials, touching them, feeling them so that there is always that feeling of comfort and delicacy with the skin.
“As a personal challenge, I decided to make a selection of short, long, cotton and linen dresses, always with wide silhouettes, most of them framed at the waist by darts or belted. In this new collection “Origin” I rescue the feminine silhouette, without being garments very demanding to the body. Very universal garments that serve both slim women and women with bigger curves. ” said Adriana.
The jumpsuits remain as one of the star products, short, other bermuda type, and long. In this range they are available in linen and other materials, making them a little more formal. Perfect for November and December, which are dates where people are going out more to social events. “The new collection “Origin” are perfect garments that one can wear during the day, but if you change the accessories, makeup and shoes, it can be used perfectly for an evening event.” accentuates the designer.
The joggers, which are favorites by their clients, return some with variations in the color chart and the flammable cotton blouses with their common denominator: the wide sleeves, balloon and raglan.
The commitment to the environment is strengthened in the DNA of the collection, which is why nylon created from recycled material is used. In “Origin”, colors such as ecru, khaki, beige are given way, and some terracotta, brick and mustard accents are added. They are neutral colors but with accents of essences such as paprika, turmeric making the color a little stronger, but at the same time, very calm.
