One Park Grove, A Premier Residential Complex In Coconut Grove, Miami
— By Raamish Karatela
As one walks through the entrance of the One Park Grove reception area there appears a space with light that warm and welcoming feeling.
We can only admire the impressive stature of the two main towers from outside and be pleasantly surprised indoors, where there is a semblance of home rather than a soulless reception area with cold contemporary designs.
The sea and its infinite essence is not threatening now, rather it is seen from the most comforting perch imaginable, from a home far from the maddening crowd.
The hostess asks our names and we are led to the lower penthouse suite where the cocktail reception is being held. On the walk to the elevators, the light structures hanging from the ceiling fill us with awe. They cast that same warm glow over the modernist circular couches under them. Exquisite luxe design to say the least. There lies a bench within the elevator (for passengers to rest their weary feet on the ride up) and Jacqueline — our realtor and guide for the evening — explains to us how these private elevators, one of the privileges of those who live here.
In the lower penthouse suite, one can take a walk through the living room, recline for a minute on another modern, yet undeniably comfortable couch and stare off towards the high windowed entrance of the balcony ahead. As far as the eye can wander, one can see deep blue stretching to the horizon, punctuated by sailboats on the surface of the ocean and a myriad of hues as the sun sets. This view alone warrants a life here.
Yet if it was only that— the sea outside the living room window— then it would not be a home would it? After viewing such a transcendent image, one would need the embrace of their abode to fall back to. In this respect, One Park Grove does not disappoint. The image of the sea is only a background to the tapestry woven together by these masterful artists, which in totality creates a second home.
There is attention to space given to every aspect that makes up the suite. The living room couches are the right amount of space from the living room tables and from each other as well. Either of these items could be replaced with new furniture, but the space is inherent to the construction of the suite. It would not change, only the shape of the objects arranged. The space would remain a relaxed distance from one couch to the other; from the couches to the table; from the living area to the balcony area; from the balcony area to the drawing room; and so on.
There is space given to each and every element observed: the dining room table; the study; and even the hallways that connect them. This brings solace. The sea and its infinite essence is not threatening now, rather it is seen from the most comforting perch imaginable, from a home far from the madding crowd.
