RJ WATCHES LAUNCHES THE ARRAW 6919, COMBINED WITH APOLLO 11 DNA, AND RJ’S 360° MOON SURFACE MOVEMENT.
Launched at SIHH in Geneva in January, the ARRAW 6919 is a part of the RJ’s Moon Dust DNA collection, a unique patented Moon movement which is a celebrated achviement for the RJ brand and CEO and Creative Director Marco Tedeschi. Speaking to JamaqueParadis Marco stresses the significance of the ARRAW 6919 milestone explaining the bezel is made with super light and hard composite material combining a high-performance acrylic glass and parts from the Apollo 11 spacecraft. This first-ever material created by RJ is fixed to the case by a metal grid, inspired by the Apollo 11 command module.
“RJ has created THE ARRAW 6919 as a tribute to the Apollo 11 mission. This unique watch reflects our continuous aspiration to explore the unexplored and to show our commitment to discovery, sophistication and distinctiveness, subtly illuminated by the hands of our craftsmen. Each edition is exclusively limited to 100 copies,” comments Marco Tedeschi.
The ARRAW 6919 is available in three different materials: polished and satin-brushed grade 5 titanium, ceramic and 5N+ red gold. The watch is water-resistant up to 100 metres or 330 feet. The ARRAW 6919 is both highly horological and aesthetically rich. The SW-280 mechanical self-winding movement has been modified by RJ engineers to accommodate the patented RJ Moon Phase mechanism that shows a 3D moon rotating 360° during a complete cycle of 29.5 days.
