ENHANCING NEW TALENTS: CREATIVITY MEETS CRAFTSMANSHIP
Milano Moda Donna will be presenting the results of Enhancing New Talents, the collaboration project involving the Istituto Marangoni Milano – The School of Design and Moreschi, the aim of which is to reward the creativity of young talents.
Enhancing New Talents was launched in April 2016 as part of the three-year Fashion Design &Accessories course. International students, after visiting the Moreschi company, analysing the raw materials, taking a close-up look at the careful and painstaking work of the Vigevano craftsmen and coming to appreciate the numerous steps that go into making a pair of shoes, had just three months to come up with a capsule collection of shoes and bags, for men and women, for the Fall/Winter 2017/18 season.
The youngsters had to imagine refined, practical and timeless products, best able to interpret brand values – quality, tradition and elegance, with the addition of a personal, fresh and innovative twist. Among the proposals presented, three projects in particular convinced and surpassed the expectations of the Company, which decided to produce them and include them among the novelties of the Moreschi Fall/Winter 2017/18 Collection.
Behind the projects are three brilliant female students: Ceyla Ucer, Doriana Santamiaria and Margherita Graglia, who were able to follow all the manufacturing and finishing steps of their creations, thereby without doubt experiencing a unique period of personal and professional growth inside one of the leading companies dedicated to promoting Italian shoe-making art in the world.
