Edgar Barrera leads the overall nominations, as Karol G, Rosalía, Jorge Drexler, and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso emerge among the most recognized artists ahead of the November ceremony in Las Vegas.
The nominations for the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards have arrived, bringing together some of Latin music’s biggest international stars with emerging voices from across the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking music worlds.
The Latin Recording Academy announced the 2026 nominees on September 16, with producer and songwriter Edgar Barrera leading the overall field with 10 nominations. Among recording artists, Karol G, Rosalía, Jorge Drexler and Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso each received seven nominations, while Silvana Estrada and Mon Laferte follow with six apiece.
This year’s nominations span 60 categories, covering recordings released between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026. The ceremony will take place November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and air live on Univision.
Karol G Continues the Tropicoqueta Era
Karol G enters the ceremony with seven nominations and representation across several corners of the Latin music landscape.
Her album Tropicoqueta is nominated for Album of the Year, while her collaboration with Marco Antonio Solís, “Coleccionando Heridas,” is nominated for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. The album also reaches into the urban field, with Karol G appearing among nominees for Best Urban Music Album, Best Urban Performance and Best Reggaeton Performance.
The recognition reflects the broad musical palette surrounding Tropicoqueta, a project that moves through urban, tropical and regional influences while maintaining Karol G’s place at the center of contemporary Latin pop.
Rosalía Brings LUX Into the General Field
Rosalía also earns seven nominations, led by her latest project, LUX (Complete Works).
The album is nominated for Album of the Year, while “La Perla,” featuring Yahritza y Su Esencia, competes for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. “La Perla” is additionally nominated for Best Pop Song, while LUX appears in Best Alternative Music Album.
Rosalía’s nominations reach beyond Spanish-language categories as well. “Memória,” her collaboration with Carminho, is nominated for Best Portuguese Language Song, and “Sauvignon Blanc” is recognized in Best Short Form Music Video.
Together, the nominations illustrate the increasingly fluid boundaries between pop, alternative music, regional traditions and multilingual releases within the Latin Grammy field.
Anitta Brings Brazil Into Album of the Year

Brazilian superstar Anitta returns to one of the night’s biggest categories with EQUILIBRIVM, nominated for Album of the Year.
The project also earns a nomination for Best Portuguese Language Contemporary Pop Album, putting Anitta alongside a strong group of Brazilian and Portuguese-language artists represented throughout this year’s nominations.
Her inclusion in Album of the Year places EQUILIBRIVM in a diverse ten-album field that also includes Free Spirits by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Taracá by Jorge Drexler, Vendrán Suaves Lluvias by Silvana Estrada, Tropicoqueta by Karol G, Femme Fatale by Mon Laferte, Muda by Carín León, La Vida Era Más Corta by Milo J, ¿Dónde Es El After? by Rawayana and Rosalía’s LUX (Complete Works).
A Wide-Open General Field
Beyond the marquee names, the 2026 nominations show just how broad the current Latin music landscape has become.
CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Jorge Drexler, Silvana Estrada, Mon Laferte, Carín León, Milo J, Elena Rose, Rawayana, Juanes, Becky G, Santana and others appear throughout the major and genre categories.
The Best New Artist category introduces another 11 names to a wider international audience: Delilah, FABIAN, Loulu Gilberto, Arath Herce, Macario Martínez, maye, Sofia Monroy, Kendall Peña, Dora Sanches, ARIA VEGA and Zeca Veloso.
That mixture of established international stars, veteran songwriters, independent artists and new performers gives the 2026 nominations a considerably wider lens than a simple pop-star race.
The Road to Las Vegas
Final-round voting by active Latin Recording Academy members is scheduled for October 1 through October 12, before the winners are revealed in Las Vegas the following month.
