Roberto Cavalli Spring 2027: The House Returns to Its Wild Side

For Spring/Summer 2027, Roberto Cavalli creative director Fausto Puglisi looked backward to move the house forward, revisiting decades of the brand’s unmistakable visual language for a collection rooted in print, sensuality and nightlife.

Presented during Milan Fashion Week, the collection brought the Cavalli archive sharply back into focus. Animal prints collided with bold florals, while low-rise denim, miniskirts, hot pants, camisoles and body-conscious pieces captured the youthful energy that defined some of the house’s most memorable eras.

The result was deliberately maximalist.

Leopard, zebra and tiger patterns appeared across fluid separates and dresses, often mixed rather than treated as standalone statements. Printed chiffon added movement and lightness, while feathers, fringe, embroidery and textured surfaces amplified the sense of excess.

Puglisi also placed considerable emphasis on separates. Embellished jeans, abbreviated skirts, halter tops and lace-edged pieces offered a wardrobe that felt less like formal occasion dressing and more like getting ready for a night out.

That party atmosphere was central to the collection.

Rather than distancing himself from Roberto Cavalli’s reputation for sensual, attention-grabbing fashion, Puglisi embraced it. Skin was exposed, waists sat low and silhouettes moved closely around the body, while dramatic fringe and flowing fabrics created motion across the runway.

There was also a clear sense of nostalgia.

References stretching from 1970s Cavalli to the label’s more rebellious early-2000s attitude appeared throughout the collection. Yet the runway stopped short of becoming a simple archival recreation. Instead, familiar house codes were layered, distorted and combined to reflect the renewed appetite for expressive dressing.

After several seasons in which restrained palettes and quiet luxury dominated much of fashion, Roberto Cavalli Spring 2027 offered the opposite proposition: more pattern, more texture, more movement and considerably more visibility.

It is a language that has always belonged naturally to Cavalli.

Under Puglisi, that language continues to evolve, but Spring 2027 makes one point particularly clear—the house has no intention of disappearing quietly into the background.

For Roberto Cavalli, being noticed remains part of the design.
