Etro Spring 2027: A Softer Bohemian Spirit Emerges in Milan
Etro turns its signature paisley, texture and free-spirited glamour toward the sun for Spring/Summer 2027, introducing a lighter interpretation of the Italian house’s unmistakable visual language.
Etro presented its Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection during Milan Fashion Week under the title “Halo,” imagining a wardrobe washed in the hazy glow of a summer day.
Rather than reinventing the house, the collection reduces the visual weight of its familiar codes. Etro’s paisley—the motif most closely associated with the brand—appears blurred, softened and almost faded by sunlight. Prints dissolve into atmospheric patterns, while fluid fabrics allow the clothes to move with an ease that gives the season its relaxed character.
Bohemia Without the Weight
Etro’s longstanding bohemian sensibility remains central, but Spring 2027 feels noticeably airier.
Flowing dresses, cascading ruffles, open crochet, sheer fabrics and lingerie-inspired pieces create silhouettes that move freely around the body. Elsewhere, jacquard trousers and relaxed tailoring provide structure without interrupting the collection’s overall softness.
Suede and denim jackets are treated with tonal patchwork, extending the brand’s decorative vocabulary into pieces that feel more grounded and wearable.
The result is recognizably Etro, but quieter.
Paisley Under a Different Light
The house describes the season through the sensation of sunlight: a clear sky, grass moving in the breeze and colors gradually altered by the intensity of the sun.
That image becomes a useful framework for the collection.
Instead of using pattern simply as decoration, Spring 2027 allows it to recede. Paisley becomes an aura rather than a graphic statement, appearing across caftans, outerwear and flowing separates with a faded quality that makes familiar Etro motifs feel newly atmospheric.
The palette follows the same idea. Powdered and earthy neutrals develop into warmer and richer colors as the collection progresses, suggesting the changing light of a summer day.
Etro Moves Forward
The season also arrives during a period of transition for the fashion house.
Spring/Summer 2027 represents the internal Etro design team’s first complete seasonal interpretation of the brand following Marco De Vincenzo’s departure earlier in 2026.
Instead of introducing an entirely new language, the team looked inward.
Paisley, craft, texture, romanticism and the bohemian references associated with Etro remain clearly visible. What changes is their intensity. The collection allows those signatures more space, creating clothing that appears fluid, sun-washed and increasingly effortless.
At a moment when fashion houses often use leadership changes to engineer dramatic reinventions, Etro’s Spring 2027 collection takes a more measured route.
“Halo” suggests that evolution does not always require abandoning what came before.
Sometimes it simply requires seeing it in a different light.
