Along with these renovations, Amsterdam Manor is introducing new eco-friendly efforts to ensure a sustainable setting for all guests. In order to conserve energy and resources, solar heaters and insulated doors are being installed all throughout the property and ventilation systems have been upgraded to regulate air quality regarding humidity and CO2 levels. While a lively addition to the scenery, the sunshades and awnings serve a dual purpose of eliminating electric-powered fans, while protecting guests from sun exposure. Toiletry dispensers filled with Aruba Aloe products have been installed in all rooms to replace single use for lotions, shampoos, conditioners, bodywash and liquid soap detergents. The resort is also involved in several conservation programs to protect the local wildlife and their habitat, namely the sea turtles that lay their eggs on Eagle Beach. And for guests that want to show their love for the earth firsthand, the resort holds monthly beach clean-ups where participation is welcome, and reusable “Keep Cups” are available for purchase to reduce single use plastic cups.
