The Swiss watchmaker joins forces with Jeff Koons to translate Balloon Dog and the artist’s fascination with reflection, volume and transformation into two distinctly different expressions of high horology.
Hublot has taken its long-running relationship with contemporary art into new territory with Hublot x Jeff Koons, a collaboration officially unveiled in New York on September 16, 2026.
Rather than simply placing an artist’s work onto a dial, Hublot and Koons have reworked the architecture of the watch itself. The partnership launches with two creations: the playful Classic Fusion Balloon Dog by Jeff Koons and the technically ambitious MP-14 Origin by Jeff Koons.
Balloon Dog Moves to the Wrist
One of Koons’ most recognizable works provides the starting point for the Classic Fusion Balloon Dog.
Available in blue, red and silver, the 42 mm watch transforms the traditionally streamlined Classic Fusion into something far more sculptural. Rounded surfaces and inflated proportions reference the polished balloon forms that have become synonymous with Koons’ work.
The transformation extends into the smallest details. The crown has been designed to resemble the inflation valve of a balloon, while a flexible decorative “dog tail” appears around the 10:30 position. On the seconds hand, a miniature Balloon Dog appears as a counterweight. Even the indexes, hands, and oscillating weight have been reconsidered to reinforce the watch’s rounded visual language.
Inside is Hublot’s automatic HUB1710 movement with approximately 50 hours of power reserve. Each of the three Classic Fusion Balloon Dog editions is limited to 200 pieces.

Where Art Meets Engineering
The second watch reveals a dramatically different side of the partnership. The MP-14 Origin by Jeff Koons belongs to Hublot’s Exceptional Timepieces collection and introduces the manufacture’s first automatic central tourbillon.
Its 44 mm octagonal construction combines sapphire crystal and titanium, producing an almost completely transparent architecture. Hublot says machining the sapphire case alone requires approximately 534 hours.
Inside, concentric white-gold rings are set with baguette-cut diamonds and blue sapphires, creating an orbital composition around the center of the watch.
Sitting above the tourbillon is a transparent sapphire dome finished with translucent blue varnish, referencing Koons’ celebrated Gazing Ball works. The HUB9014 movement underneath consists of 594 components, operates at 3 Hz, and provides approximately 60 hours of power reserve. Only 30 examples of the MP-14 Origin will be produced.
Two Interpretations of Jeff Koons
What makes the collaboration particularly interesting is the distance between its two watches.
The Balloon Dog takes one of Koons’ most familiar symbols and transforms its recognizable shape, shine and sense of play into a wearable object. The MP-14 approaches his work through another lens entirely, using transparency, reflection and seemingly suspended forms to explore ideas of scale and creation.
The result places contemporary art and traditional watchmaking in the same conversation without asking either discipline to disappear.
On Hublot’s U.S. website, the blue Classic Fusion Balloon Dog is currently listed at $25,100, while the MP-14 Origin is listed at $488,000.
For Hublot, the collaboration continues the brand’s long-standing strategy of bringing art, engineering and experimental materials together. For Koons, it gives familiar concepts — reflection, transformation and exaggerated form — an entirely new mechanical canvas.
