Dsquared2’s New Spring 2027 Campaign Is Hot
Dean and Dan Caten bring sacred symbolism, sensuality and rebellious Italian romance together for a Spring 2027 collection that refuses to play it safe.
Dsquared2 has never built its identity around subtlety. For Spring 2027, Dean and Dan Caten once again embrace provocation, presenting a collection and accompanying imagery charged with religious symbolism, sexuality and unmistakable Italian attitude.
Following the Italian-summer direction explored for Resort 2027, the designers head further south for spring. Mediterranean folklore and the visual traditions of Southern Italy provide the foundation, but Dsquared2 twists those references through its own irreverent vocabulary.
Crosses, rosaries, religious medallions and devotional imagery appear throughout the collection. White shirting and crochet details introduce ideas of purity and ceremony before distressed denim, leather, exposed lingerie and body-conscious styling disrupt the picture.
Sacred Meets Seductive
That tension between devotion and desire becomes one of Spring 2027’s strongest visual devices.
Traditional references are placed against clothing that feels youthful, physical and rebellious. Lace appears as lingerie-inspired detailing, while rosaries move beyond conventional jewelry to become decorative elements within womenswear. Denim arrives ripped and narrow, including treatments referencing imagery associated with classical frescoes.
The result deliberately moves between sacred and profane rather than choosing one side.
A Dangerous Romance
There is also a cinematic quality to the collection.
Dean and Dan Caten drew inspiration from the rebellious romance and visual language associated with Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, giving the season the feeling of a love story unfolding somewhere between devotion, danger and desire.
Italian rapper Promessa becomes a central character in that narrative, bringing a harder, contemporary energy to the imagery.
Photographed at a villa in Lecco, near Milan, the setting reinforces the collection’s Italian identity while giving its provocative styling an almost old-world backdrop.
Dsquared2 Turns Up the Heat
For a label built on contrasts, Spring 2027 feels familiar without becoming predictable.
Masculine and feminine. Sacred and sexual. Traditional and rebellious. Polished tailoring against destroyed denim. Religious iconography beside exposed skin.
Dsquared2 takes those contradictions and makes them the point.
The Catens may have traded the spectacle of a traditional runway production for a more intimate presentation this season, but visually, they have hardly turned down the volume.
If anything, Spring 2027 proves that Dsquared2 can generate plenty of heat without the runway.
